July 18, 2007 - In the past, AFSMI has published an annual benchmark report as a multi-client study. The report was a collection of service data from participating companies, analyzing trends and providing insights on comparative data. This year, we are excited to announce that we are completely overhauling the AFSMI benchmark program. The new AFSMI Services Benchmark will be included as one of the key benefits for all new Corporate Members of the Association.
The new AFSMI Services Benchmark is an online industry- data resource. Accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the new benchmark is available to Corporate Members through the new AFSMI Web site. The AFSMI Services Benchmark can be an invaluable tool for comparing the performance of your services organization against the industry and your peers.
Members can participate in the benchmark at any time by completing our online survey. Once your data has been submitted and reviewed, it immediately goes into our benchmark database and is available online. Therefore, the benchmark always reflects the most recent data. Benchmark your services operations, sales and marketing, customer satisfaction, and financials in relation to specific market segments defined by you. Larger companies can enter a different set of services data for each division or business unit. Once you have completed your benchmark survey, you can compare yourself to the entire industry or select a peer group of companies with a particular profile based on vertical industry, type of services offered, and a variety of other parameters.
Results are charted in an easy-to-read format that allows an immediate understanding of how you compare to the rest of the services industry. Data from the AFSMI Services Benchmark can also be downloaded for further analysis using your favorite spreadsheet or data analysis programs.
